Now is YOUR time! Whether you’re enjoying those teenage years or an active, healthy senior lifestyle, Ballroom Dancing can be a new experience for you both physically and mentally. Dancing lends itself to spending time with friends or that special someone you care about. During the month of March, Dennis and Sandy will offer Cha-Cha lessons. The Cha-Cha is not just for Latin music anymore, it is danced extensively to songs written for country, modern, and big band genre. Swing, another fun dance will get our feet and bodies moving in April. This dance can be enjoyed at any level with a variety of different types of music. Whether you think you can dance or not, we’ll help you reach your dancing goals and learn to enjoy stepping out onto the dance floor.  Proper dance technique, frame, posture, floor crafting, and beat identification will be covered. No dance experience is required. Hard soled shoes are recommended and a partner is suggested, but not required.

Enrolled students are encouraged to video steps
taught in their class for personal use.

It is best if you already have some dance experience as this class is meant to improve your skills, technique, and learn new steps/combinations. East Coast Swing brings another element of fun and will definitely add to your swing dancing pleasure. ECS is perfect for that Swing music that is just a bit too slow for regular swing. For those that already have some exposure to Cha-Cha, Intermediate Cha-cha will provide additional, higher level steps to your dance repertoire. The patterns we teach can be used in ballrooms, on small dance floors, and are appropriate for venues’ such as clubs, wedding, blues festivals, big band dances, and 50’s and 60’s performances. Proper dance technique, frame, posture, floor crafting, and beat identification will be covered. Students are allowed to video steps in class for personal use. Hard soled shoes are recommended and a partner is suggested, but not required.
