Dennis and Sandy Scheckel of “Scheckel & Co. Dance Instruction” have provided eastern Iowa and western
Illinois with quality dance instruction for 33 years. Professionally trained, Dennis and Sandy teach social dance in both
American Smooth and Rhythm Style with private or group lessons.
Sandy and Dennis have enjoyed the opportunity to
teach on both Norwegian and Carnival cruises. Sandy also qualifies male dance hosts that are used on a number of different
cruise lines.
Besides dancing they enjoy boating, golf, bridge, and biking. Being the proud parents of 5 children,
4 boys and a girl, they now also enjoy time with their 9 grandkids

Dancing is a great way to spend time with someone you care about as well
as meet new people. It’s also a great way for couples to reconnect once the kids have left home. It gives couples a
chance to hold each other and rekindle their love of music, dance, and each other.

Latin and Swing dances to be an invigorating workout for mind, body, and spirit. From the tantalizing Tango to the Jitterbug,
these dances require practice, precision, and passion along with strength, flexibility, and endurance.

confidence you need to waltz your way through any wedding reception, Cha-Cha through a charity event, Foxtrot through a father-daughter
dance, or Rumba through a high school reunion.
Although music identification, posture, frame and technique are
taught, classes are held in an informal atmosphere with an emphasis on having fun.
